It seems I uploaded the old install_antispam.php *facepalm*. That doesn’t take into account the antispamconfig.php file. Added the include to that file and it should be working.

Thursday, May 15th, 2008The version number is not going to go up. This is for you Wordpress users out there. With file-based headers/footers now being possible you might want to integrate Wordpress through the header/footer files instead of the templates section. To make that possible I’ve slightly updated phpFan’s config.inc.php. It’s just one file change for those with the latest version (phpFan 3.3.2) so there’s a separate .zip file in Downloads.
Remember if you’re using page caching to go to ‘Maintenance’ and reset your cache!
In other news, the site has the content of the pages more organized. The FAQ and Wordpress Integration pages have been updated for phpFan and phpFan Addons, as has the Version Changes page for phpFan.
Enthusiast Anti-Spam Addon – Update
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008A bit of an update. In addition to the change yesterday of being able to add your own footer file now subtraction problems are never lower than zero. That should make it easier for younger fans.

phpFan 3.3.1 and phpFan Addons Fix
Thursday, May 1st, 2008I know, I know. I just released a new version yesterday. This is basically a bugfix release. Fixed version numbers, fixed a bit with permalinks in phpFan Addon – Listing, fixed some bugs with page caching if permalinks are off, etc.
The core phpFan can be downloaded and the Addons can be downloaded.
phpFan 3.3.1 Released, Addons Upgraded
Thursday, May 1st, 2008phpFan 3.3.1 is being released so soon after the last major release because I thought it was the time to allow separate file-based header/footers for all the Addons. That way users don’t have to use only one header for all of them. Also, page caching has been added as an option for faster load times (will save your page to a file instead of having to makes calls to the database). Users can specify for how many days they want the files to be on the server.
There was also one bug fix for category/list names. Reset your categories in ‘Maintenance’ if you noticed some category names had a ‘-1′ after the name when there were no other categories named the same thing.
The core phpFan can be downloaded and the Addons can be downloaded.
phpFan 3.3.0 Released, Addons Upgrade
Sunday, April 20th, 2008phpFan 3.3.0 has been released. It has over 70 bugfixes, new features, changes, etc.
Joined has been made into an Addon so that those who don’t wish to use it don’t have to. AJAX has been added for easier searches and being able to add categories from the Joined/Wishlist page. This has been an entire rethinking of phpFan and it probably should have been pushed to version 4.0. Notably, the e-mail system has been changed to a three file script rather than a whole sub-directory of files, as was the case with SwiftMailer. Permalinks have been stripped to a few lines of code for ease of use.
One feature that might be interesting is that phpFan -Keep-In-Mind Addon can be integrated with Enthusiast 3.

If you’re upgrading, remember to go into Maintenance and run Upgrade! Also, for each individual Addon navigate to the Addon page and run Upgrade, as well. Recache the templates if you’re using the cache (it’s definitely recommended).
