Remember to always make backups of your files!

1. Unzip the full phpFan zip file.
2. Save original conf.inc.php but delete everything else except your image folder.
3. Edit new conf.inc.php with all old variables. Change secret word to something of your choosing. Remember, this helps encrypt your password. Choose something difficult, letters, numbers, symbols. Put your timezone, check http://www.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php for the right one.
4. Upload *all* the files in /admin and /includes, and /images and the main folder.
5. Go into ‘Maintenance’ and run ‘Upgrade?’.
6. Password needs to be encrypted to new format so input your password, click the link offered to complete upgrade.
